I had been to Campus Life 2 a handful of times from 5th through 8th grade starting approximately 2001. Not until I started high school did I go to Campus Life almost every week. I became a student leader at Campus Life 2 in 2006 in the beginning of my sophomore year. I am currently enrolled in my sophomore year at Baruch College, and still a student leader at Campus Life 2. I have had so many amazing moments with my Campus Life group that to list all of them would be impossible. One of my favorites was my freshman Avalanche trip. Our whole group of about 30 people were packed into one room singing worship songs. Our love for each other and God was so radiant, that it made for such and incredibly emotional night. Not to mention an awesome week of snowboarding. Another one is Heatwave every year. Getting to see large groups of kids giving their lives to God, never ceases to amaze. When God is made central in what you are doing every trip and moment have special qualities that make them memorable. My YFC leader Craig Muller has had one of the largest and most beneficial impacts of anyone in my life. He has always been there for me. He helped me form and maintain a relationship with Jesus. He helped me to recognize the bad things in my life and become a better person through God. Craig leads by example, he is one of the best people I know. I would be nowhere near where I am today without Youth For Christ. I am eternally thankful, and owe my life to them. Knowing Jesus makes my life easier. He eases the burden of being me. Day to day he helps me to make correct decisions. He relieves our human worries of what to make with ourselves. Jesus knows what is best for me, and has been guiding me making my life easier and more fulfilling. |
