3Story Evangelism®

“Three Story Evangelism” is a very natural way to share Christ with those God has placed in your life, by listening to “their story,” sharing “your story,” and telling “God’s story.”

My Story
As you get to know each other, your friends will want to know more about you. As they hear your story, they will see that you need Jesus just as much as they do. They will see the difference it makes to have a relationship with Christ.

His Story
Sharing your story will lead directly into sharing God’s story. This personal communication of the Gospel will give others the opportunity to make an informed decision to become a follower of Jesus.

Their Story
Asking questions, listening to their answers, and gaining an understanding of their need for Jesus helps us know how to share Jesus. By listening and showing we care, we earn the right to be heard.

What is 3Story Evangelism?

3 Story is an approach to faith sharing that takes the edge off evangelism, teaches your kids to depend on Jesus, and share their story and God's story with their friends. It's the approach to faith sharing that was used during the summer of 2006 at Youth Specialties and YFC's DCLA with over 15,000 students.
We leave the formulas in chemistry class, the proven methods for the marketing gurus, and teach your kids to get real with God, themselves, and everybody else. We're not about telling people about Jesus, but rather connecting with people around Jesus.

So What?
So, it's important. Chances are kids in your group want to share Christ with their friends, but may feel like they aren't qualified or wouldn't know what to say. That's why at YFC we use 3 Story Evangelism to strip away the fear, get kids closer to Jesus, and share their real story in an honest way.

How Is It Different?
Here’s the comment of an attendee from one of our training conferences:
"I used to think courage was telling a stranger what to believe and how to behave. Now I believe courage is living close enough so people see who I truly am and how I truly need Jesus."
